On Friday the 17th the Annual SP Youth Quiz was hosted by Tullyvallen RP Church. The usual format of 10 rounds  was followed.

The initial 6 rounds are Biblical, the first 3 on a prepared passage, this year Acts chapters 8-10, and the second 3 are general Biblical knowledge.  The score is then added, and the winners are presented with a shield made over 40 years ago by the late Ivan Armstrong. 

Young people from congregations across the SP (including Clare, Ballenon, Fairview, Loughbrickland, Newry and Tullyvallen) competed in teams. Scores were close at the top, but a team from Loughbrickland was declared the winners, and the shield was duly presented.  A fun quiz followed and included picture rounds, dingbats and general knowledge questions. This, too, was fiercely competed!

Everyone enjoyed the evening including  numerous adults who also participated throughout for fun. Sincere thanks is due to the Tullyvallen congregation  for a delicious  supper and for preparing the hall in advance. The young people are also all to be commended  for their study of the prepared passage and for their enthusiasm.
